Gargh! It wasn’t me all this time! Wasted too many hours trying to figure it out. #microsoft needs to do better. www.tomshardware.com/software/…

Have you looked under your keycaps recently? 🤮

Was at Maker Faire Bay Area this past weekend - feeling inspired to teach myself new skills, for whenever inspiration strikes like a giant red robot beautifully backlit in a massive former shipyard. #makerfaire

If only because my family name in Mandarin is a homonym for the color orange. #iphone17pro

It’s been a long while since I’ve seen one of these. Had to hunt for a cable to do the firmware updating.

I bought surprisingly little from Corsair since 2018. It’s been G.Skill RAM more recently, mostly because of color options and pricing. www.tomshardware.com/pc-compon…

Sidemount external filament mount

Printed a side-mount external reel holder for the 3D printer. Saves me from awkwardly having to reach behind to mount an external reel, and also switching the PTFE feed tube.

This one works great with reels big and small, including the color samplers that I love!

As most folks with 3D printers know : easily half your prints are going to be some accessory for your hobby.

This model I found happens to include the Bambu logo, so I tried to do a color match.

#LPT : If your PC sits under your desk, on the floor, put it on furniture sliders to move it easily.

Got all the parts in… and it looks good on one side… not so on the other.

Why #doomscroll on social media when you can watch your 3D printer instead? It’s so much more exciting watching it put a part together layer by layer! #3Dprinting

Faced with the possibility of another night of washing dishes by hand, a $425 dishwasher installation quote, and visiting family, I was suddenly hit by a wave of inspiration and turned plumber for the evening.

Behold, I present you a dishwasher that I installed myself. And it hasn’t leaked (yet)!

Liberated another Touch ID sensor from a failing keyboard and put it to good use.

Also, turns out that the macro mode on camera on my iPhone makes a pretty good loupe!

Finished product - star shape not as obvious I had hoped, but it isn’t bad for a few hours work! #3dprinted

Backlit back panel of a mirror that was 3D printed

Mail from Limor Fried never gets tired.

The concave side of the bathroom mirror broke, and I felt compelled to replace it rather risk a glass cut.

So I measured it out and designed a 6mm thick panel which I printed in PETG. Added a star to the design while I was at it, because, why not?

I missed the days where computing was simpler, so I pulled some retro parts together with an M4 Mac Mini.

Severance speaker.

I haven’t watched it, and I have no idea as to the significance of the speaker, yet. But it’s cute and I can always do with another desktop widget at work.
